Pokemon Rejuvenation Walkthrough - Part 5 - Goldenwood Forest

Forest Entrance
You'll arrive on a platform. There's a few things to do/get on this route. This man here will give you an Old Rod. Apparently Magikarps don't exist in this region as of yet, which is a shame since Gyarados would put in so much work. In this game you get Finneons instead, which I guess is usable as a water type.

Over on the Upper Left hand side of the map you'll find a Nurse Joy, who has set up camp just outside the forest entrance. This place literally screams training spot, so use it wisely. Also, secret not so hidden super repel as well.

There's also quite a few grass/bug type Pokemon here as well, so capitalise and train!

  • Available Pokemon
    • Grass - Deerling, Scatterbug, Spewpa, Pidgey, Sentret
    • Fishing - Finneon
Once you've finished your preparation, head upwards and into Goldenwood Forest.

Goldenwood Forest
So apparently this forest has a whopping big lake in the middle of it.....right. Anyway, proceed through the path as usual. The girl standing at the tip of the lake says "it feels as if a legendary Pokemon is here", etc. and some other foreshadowing. Of course, you'll encounter some trainers as well.
  • Beginner Jeff: Lv 8 Spearow, Lv 8 Sentret, Lv 8 Blitzle
  • Fisherman Shane: Lv 5 Magikarp, Lv 8 Magikarp (Knows tackle), Lv 11 Magikarp, Lv 12 Magikarp
  • Fisherman Orlando: Lv 8 Finneon, Lv 9 Magikarp, Lv 8 Finneon,
  • Beginner Darin: Lv 11 Poochyena, Lv 12 Pidgey,
  • Gang Member Sherik: Lv 11 Pikachu, Lv 11 Caterpie
  • Double Battle
    • Enthusiast Kairi: Lv 9 Pidove, Lv 12 Murkrow
    • Hardcore Trainer Karin: Lv 11 Bulbasaur, Lv 12 Mankey
There are also wild Pokemon here, nothing really new though:
  • Available Pokemon
    • Grass - Poochyena, Scatterbug, Sentret, Deerling
    • Fish - Finneon
Once you pass the lake, you'll notice this little girl stuck in the tree. Interact with the tree to shake her down. Turns out she's the kid the Grandfather was looking for back at the train station. Await a handsome reward (not really).

Anyway, keep advancing down the track past the double battle and you'll come to a cave. There's a Nurse Joy, a Shop Attendant and a guy who will sell you reverse candies. There's also a Lv 12 Whismur on the right side of the entrance, who will only interact with you if you give it a GourmetTreat (available from Mart for $2000). I'm not certain as to whether or not you can find another Whismur in the game, but Boomburst Exploud is Ca$h.

Enter the Cave when you are ready.

Goldenwood Cave
The layout of the cave is really simple - outer path, central lake area. Make sure you're ready when you approach Melia as serious stuff goes down afterwards and you won't have access to a PC/Mart.
  • Available Pokemon
    • Cave - Geodude, Woobat, Noibat
    • Fish - Goldeen
  • Goldenwoof Cave also has a Cave Field Effect, so put away to Flying Type Attacks:
    • Rock type moves are powered up.
    • Flying Type moves are decreased.
    • Sound type moves are powered up.
    • Stone edge has a 100% accuracy rate
    • Rock Tomb is specifically powered up
You'll find Melia at the end of the cave staring at the wall - apparently the markings on the wall aren't there anymore. She'll then challenge you to a battle where all her Pokemon are shiny and nicknamed and it's confusing to remember them. Luckily for you, I've written them down here:
  • Pre-Leader Melia: Lv 13 Zorua (Fortitude), Lv 14 Larvitar (Diligence), Lv 14 Togepi (Happiness), Lv 13 Yanma (Faith),
After you beat Melia, She'll offer to go to the train station together. There is a big earthquake, and rocks fall from the roof. Melia runs to investigate it, leaving you behind as usual. Walk outside of the cave when you are ready.
